I don't think citywide 1st grade spots will fill up with siblings next year. To have a sib when applying to 1st grade without having one when applying to K would require being born only one grade behind your older sib, and realistically, will that many 96- kids get 97+ next year? So filling up 1st with sibs next year is pretty unlikely, right?

    • you're forgetting that a sib could have tested for k and not gotten in but scored higher the next year. that means the older sib could be in any grade up to 5th.
