5 month old is just beginning to sit up, but not well yet. He has totally grown out of his baby tub (he's a big boy) and I'm not sure what to bathe him in right now. Any suggestions?

    • How big? Mine is 25 pounds and can still fit in tub. Much easier than filling up the whole tub.

    • Hijack: My DB keeps trying to pull up / stand up in his tub - any suggestions? I looked into a bathseat and they said it's good for up to ten months, and I don't want to buy something that will only last me two months.

      • i battled my dd with this for a little while (telling her "sit please" which she knew but refused to do) so ultimately, i let her stand. i was right there in case she fell and after about a week of this she saw that it was much more fun being warm in the tub with the toys.

    • i feel weird endorsing something, but this tub was AMAZING. fits in your regular tub and is perfect for this transition. our dd actually used it for almost a year, she loved it so much: http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=535631&cmSource=Search

      • Did you pump it up every time you needed it? When did DB transition to the big tub?

        • no...only at the end did the seals start to go and i had to re-inflate now and then. otherwise i just drained it and kept it in the tub, upside down to dry. it also comes with a suction cup for the wall. dd transitioned to big tub when it finally died about 3 months ago, so she was 20 mos. she's average-sized and had plenty of room in there to play.

          • -added bonus: it's also great for reducing water consumption since you fill up the space of about 1/2 to 1/3 of the big tub :)

    • I put mine in the regular tub with just a few inches of water at this age. Just get a bath mat so he doesn't slip around so much.
