      • Rodeph only goes to 8th grade and their HS placement is less than stellar. I'd go with the free option

        • this year HS placement was actually quite good. only 25 students in class, however.

            • This is just from memory: 1-2 each to HM, Dalton, Spence, Chapin or Brearley (can't remember), Stuy, BxSci, Riverdale, Heschel, 2-3 to Fieldston, 3-4 to CGPS. There might have been 1 to Collegiate as well.

      • she could probably move into a district - but be careful, they just rezoned many streets east of b'way from 199 to 87

    • All my friends who go to RS love it, but if money is an issue, consider 199. I don't know anything about 87. My mom teaches at 199, and it isn't one of the most stellar schools, but some of the teachers are excellent, the student body is diverse, and there are some nice extras (National Dance Institute, NY Philharmonic program, etc.)

    • 199 is growing too quickly - it's a little scary!! 4 years ago there were 5 K classes, and this year they are expecting 9 K classes. They will run out of space quickly at this rate even with the extra 10 clasrooms.
