Any advice on weaning off the pacificier for a 18 mo old? Someone told me that paci is very bad for their teeth...

    • yes, bad for teeth and language development. if you dd can understand, can you make a nice give w/all the pacis and say that you're sending them to little children who can't afford them but need them?

    • gradual transition...start with paci only in crisis or in crib...work toward total removal

    • my dd was 2 and we sent it in the mail to the "binky fairy" who takes binkies to new babies. she cried for 20 minutes and 2 nights waking up then that was it. you can try to re-direct calming need to blankie or doll.
