  • How much time should I allot for baby's 1st birthday party? Keeping in mind it's mostly for adults, and that we're expecting a big crowd (NOT my choice, or preference, BTW).

      • it isn't always the mom's choice. we went to my homnestown for my baby's first where I ahve a ton of relatives and my mom amde me invite them all. WOuld I have liked something smaller? yes. Worth it to ruffle feathers over 15 extra people? no-

        • that was your choice to go to your mom's and to listen to your mom. this poster doesn't seem so happy about it.

        • OP: yeah, that's basically the deal. We both have huge families where even "basic" = 60+ people. We'll do something teeny on her actual birthday and have this insanity on another day. We're thinking about 2 hours now, then everyone out.
