Anyone get in off the K wait lists once the 70% tuition was due on June 1st? We didn't. Just curious if anyone got lucky.

- We had to pay tuition even though we withdrew from private. I know of a couple of others who decided they just could not spend $35k per year at the moment

- Not all schools have that schedule. My dc's school has 60% due on July 1.

- aren't you obligated to pay the whole amount anyway, after you've signed a contract, no matter if you pull out?

  - Not after the signing of the contract, but after the date stated on the contract--often a May or early June date.

- schools over accept because they know some will pull out over the summer. that is why the waitlists do not move. I would keep calling the school though. I know someone who has paid but will not tell the school they are pulling out until they close on their house in westchester.

- OP: Just waiting here, so maybe it will happen (who knows?)... in touch with only one school only we'd like to be at. The other schools, where we have serious contacts (family, low key $$$), I am kind of "mad" at for not taking us outright. Took the ERBs again, so perhaps it will work out next year for our summer birthday kid.
