        • i hear ya...i use it VERY sparingly. and i guess you might not be thrilled with aspartame or saccharine either? i'd suggest honey but that's full of sugar too, so the last thing i'd suggest is a very sweet or tangy piece of fruit. yes there's fructose in it but more digestible than refined sugar and it might help.

    • a pickle often works for me. The problem with sugar substitutes is many of them get the body making insulin, which lowers teh blood sugar more which makes the craving worse. If you must give in, make it something with high fiber, like brown rice.

        • Sorry. That was really unclear. It doesn't. But for me there is something about that sourness which totally gets my head out of the, "Must have sweet!" Thing.

    • Make some popsicles from Red and Lemon Zinger herbal tea w/honey, give yourself a couple of ounces of sliced Callebaut, Valrhona or other good dark chocolate. Skinny Cow popsicles, a glass of rice milk, a bowl of kamut with a banana, rice or skim milk.
