  • When you get your dc's preschool class list, would you call to make a playdate whom you don't even know? To me, that's weird!

    • someone called me off of the kindergarten class list and we had only met at the orientation. i'm really glad she did, we had a nice little playdate.

    • Ummm, why do you think the schools send you a list early anyway? Do you think they do it so you can google all the other parents to find out who is in the class? No, it's so people can set up playdates if they choose to do so. Otherwise, they'd just give you a list when school started, right? Some kids transition to a school filled with strange kids easily, and for others it's much easier if they see some friendly faces among the kids. It's quite silly for you to think "it's weird". You don't have to participate, but there's nothing strange about it at all.
