question for recent homebuyers. what was the asking price of the home and what did you pay? just curious because we just bid on a place for $40k under asking and crossing my fingers! tia

- it also depends on the region of the country you live in. in south florida for instance, a $40k difference between asking and selling price isn't odd, but in some other cities $10k is considered reasonable.

it also depends on the region of the country you live in. in south florida for instance, a $40k difference between asking and selling price isn't odd, but in some other cities $10k is considered reasonable.

op: asking price $459k. offered $419k. in connecticut.
