I have to fire an employee and am dreading it. Have put it off for weeks. Ugh. I wish someone could do it for me.

- I own my own business and used to dread having to get rid of anyone. Problem is, if you know they need to go, likely everyone else does too and you keeping them around shows weakness. Just get rid of them, you'll only really feel bad during the actual conversation and then you're out of it. This is assuming they deserve to be fired of course! I've never had to fire someone who I wasn't happy to see go on some level.

- I've had to fire people--and what that does to people and knowing you did it--never really leaves me. I sort of wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it...
