  • Sorry for the boring post, but I made the mistake of buying a new couch with a new baby. 1 year later the couch is a disaster. Any recommendations for upholstery cleaners in Manhattan? TIA

    • Crate and Barrel recommended Duraclean 718-628-4996. I haven't used them yet (coming in 2 weeks). $235 for large sleeper sofa, large chair & ottoman. Spoke to Bob.

      • ditto with the slipcover after the cleaning. They are a lifesaver with kids.

      • NP here - Where did you find good slip covers? I had a hard time finding ones I liked and that stayed on...

        • You could try www.surefit.net. I got a paper catalog from them. I like the ones from Pottery Barn (if they still have them). Just make sure you can easily remove and machine launder them. Also, do a google search on Slipcovers--there are a ton of places you can get them from and shop in comfort! GL! :-)
