when you get your dc's class list, do you make an arrangement over the summer to have a playdate w/ a dc you' ve never met?

        aren't they all the oddball in one way or another. for the record, thankfully, we have landed in a place that isn't into playdates either. four years later we still survive.

  - ITA. But the school my dc starts in the fall encourages to do playdates in the summer. I feel funny just calling up someone I don't even know and ask for a playdate.

    - you don't ask for a playdate - call and say your dc is going to be in class with their's, you notice you live near each other, want to meet up for a coffee one morning with the kids, so they can get to know a future classmate?
