      • is this really that much of a mystery? just like manhattan, private preschools and popular preschool/P-K alternatives in brooklyn are crowded and hard to get into. easier to get them in for 3's, and her 3's application period would be next fall. OP probably wants to know if her local Pre-K is even an option, and whether she needs to worry about private. i'm not OP, by the way. just someone with the same concerns.

    • not sure if you're still watching this, but there is ps-9 pre-K google group that has been somewhat active. they held an open meeting a few months ago that was very informative and encouraging. my takeaway is that if you're lucky enough to get a pre-K spot there, you should take it.
