Maybe a little late, but I'm looking for kid-friendly 4th of july vacation ideas. 2-3 hours away (from UUWS), energetic kids like to swim (saltwater or lake) and play in sand, and I like to hike. Trying to avoid really cheesy scene-ish type areas (my idea of hell is Atlantic City). Don't need super posh "spa amenities" but like good food. Any ideas? TIA!

      • Accommodation and food aren't great considering the price, imo.
