    • the schools give out a monthly menu that seems to sound suspiciously like nuggets and fries. dd brings food from home.

                    • I said I couldn't believe I was quoting Wiki, but I was too lazy to Google it before. Here's one from the American Dietectic Association. Of course we don't always do any of those things, but I don't know why we're attacking someone for saying deli meats should be refrigerated, that's all. Is everyone bored here today or something? http://www.homefoodsafety.org/pages/media/pdfs/deli.pdf

            • OMG, did you never bring lunch to school when you were a kid? I went to a small Catholic grammar school (no cafeteria), and we stored lunch in our desks. Every single day. For 7 years. Not a single case of food poisoning.

        • BS. Kids have been eating pizza, grilled cheese, and PB&J for generations without getting fat. The problem is that our entire food supply post 1980 has been contaminated with chemicals, antibiotics, and growth hormones, and we are now reaping the rewards of our consolidated and industrialized food system.
