What can I do to get my 5 yr old and 2 yr old to get along better? Always fighting over toys.

    • not much you can do about it. I usually take the "if I hear one more word about this I'll take away the toy. Make it work."

    • take away most of the toys and let them learn to share the few they have.

    • Talk to them about taking turns. Use an egg timer to signal when it's time to switch. Say that if they can't take turns and share, you'll take away the toys. Distract them by getting them to collaborate on some task like cooking, or some activity like painting a picture together, playing instruments and dancing to music, etc.
