    • well, 5yos do seem to love jump ropes. they don't need to be characters, or different gender-themed ones, but I guess that's personal taste.

      • I found a great deal on two dozen, looked all over for solid and sturdy ones but they are atleast $6.00 each and up or all pink.

    • I try to have gender neutral favors. It makes life easier. We recently had DS's 5th (If you are a regular, you will recognize me as "Tennis Party Mom") and we had bags filled with stuff from Oriental Trading - sports medals, bubbles, rubber duckies, high-bounce balls and gumballs.
