If your dh was diagnosed with ADD as an adult, what was the most obvious behavior that led you or him to suspect it? I am thinking my dh may have it.

      • OP: he's always overwhelmed by everything. Never can seem to get things done. Has piles upon piles of paper and "stuff." Empties his pockets -- receipts, coins, golf tees, tissues, business cards -- onto his night table every night and never clears it off. Even the garbage stays there. He sometimes explodes with anger over small things. He is an under-acheiver. He's very disorganized.

    • ADD is a bullshit made-up disorder for the mentally lazy.

      • not OP: So I guess you know more than all the medical professionals. Don't say stuff like this, disorders are real whether 'you' believe them or not.

        • Most medical "professionals" are sucking on the teat of the pharmaceutical-insurance industry complex, and have a vested interest in "diagnosing" something, or ANYTHING that can generate revenue.

    • My dh has similar behaviors to yours and I made him go for an evaluation a few years ago. He was diagnosed and given adderal. He really enjoyed the addreal and never went for follow-ups...frustrating. I try to just let go of the little things and keep him on track with the big things, I know this isn't the best but it works mostly...
