  • Does anyone know which field at Jones Beach has the shortest walk from the boardwalk to the water? Thanks

    • keep driving down the rm causeway, pass Jones and gilgo beaches. follow signs to Captree State Park and keep your eyes open for Cedar Beach. Pull a right into the parking lot. It's a Town of Babylon beach, so non residents must pay. It's well worth the 10 or so dollars. There are showers, a big shade pagoda with picnic area,playground, beautiful shorebirds and beautiful surf.

    • thanks. but just also if anyone knows out there, what jones beach field has the shortest walk to the water? i probably need a place with a snack bar, etc.
