how much do you pay your full time nanny?

- It depends on number of children, if you pay vacations, holidays, etc. With 2 kids, 7 paid holidays, 3 weeks vacation, 5 paid sick days, it works out to $14/hr. Without any of these perks I think $15 is standard. Given the economy, I think it may be possible to hire someone for $13 fairly easily.

- every time i read these i get so depressed. we pay so much more, give so much more vacation, etc. Tibetan nannies downtown have ganged together to perform highway robbery. Our nanny has priced herself out of our range and I will let her go because she guilted us into paying through the nose and kept comparing and I now thinl bs-ing about how so and so and such and such got this and that.

- 675/wk, 50 hrs, 2 dc (1 in school full day), manhattan, 8 paid holidays, 5 paid personal days, 2 wks vacation, sick days as needed
