    • Because he would be listed at the bottom of the ballot, i.e. out of sight. Running as a Republican will put him at the top. Did the Reps welcome him back already? The Republican party must be really badly off that they would even consider him to run for them.

        • There will be a few other candidates. What really bugs me is that Bloomberg is pulling all possible tricks to maximize his reelection chances. First he pushes through a third term, then he will run under the Republican heading while maintaining his status as independent in order to stay on the top of the ballot. What's next? $1000 for every voter in NYC?
