Need advice...We currently live in the middle class neighborhood in Queens. Our elementary school is decent, Middle School and HS are not. DD is now 2.5. DH wants to sell this house and move to BK. In Brooklyn, house prices for a decent house are about $150 k more than we could get for this house. Our current payments we could afford on 1 salary, while there we it would be more expensive. DH argues that if we would move to BK, we could have more family support as my mom is about to retire. We would eventually need to move anyway, as I am not sending my dd to the middle school in my area. However, I feel that in 10 years, our mortgage will be almost paid off and we would not have difficulties absorbing higher payments. What do you think we should do…wait or move now?

- What area of Queens? Would you consider moving to another nabe in Queens? B'klyn is too trendy right now and the prices are probably higher than a similar-class neighborhood in Qns.

        Ah ok. Well, does your mom know about this plan? I ask b/c sometimes grandparents aren't so forthcoming with help, and I'd hate to have you make this move based on an assumption that didn't work out. BTW, by the time they're that age, can't they go to school by themselves? Russel Sage is in a residential area.
