Can you imagine life without a credit card? We are all taking to the cleaners by the banks and the limit cuts, interest and fee hikes, etc. And since there is almost zero oversight I think we should all start moving away from using plastic. Can it be done?

ITA -- we do that, but I am still frustrated at paying $90/year for the annual fee and something like $35 anytime we are even 1 day late in payment.
[ Reply | Options ]I hate paying annual fees, so I don't bother. I sign up for cc's with no annual fees or better yet, ones that give you cash back. Usually if I am accidentally late, I can call and get it waived. BofA is the one credit card company I had trouble with (pregnancy brains) and I ended up cancelling as a result.

yes, but you would still support those business practices. Every time you use the card the merchant pays the CC companies a fee for the transaction.
