  • SHould I get sealants on my 5 yr olds teeth? He has lots of potential cavities.

    • Friend did it with her 2 dc's and both developed serious cavities and have amouth full of fillings. Both times the dc were put under for the procedure and that's something you should avoid if you can for many reasons.

    • I did this for my daugher 20 years ago and it was the best money I ever spent. I think you have to wait until the adult molars come in, I think its the second grade. Anyway, she has never had cavities in those four teeth and her dentist tells her I did a very nice thing for her. I think it should be covered by insurance, but its not.
