Would it bother you if babysitter cut 1yo nails without saying anything? I guess it is no big deal, but it surprised me. And one is so short and not growing back even after 2wks.

    • Why do I feel like if you came home to a 1 year old with a scratch on his face, this post would read "Would it bother you if your babysitter didn't trim your one year old's nails and he cut his face"?

      • Or if you came home and your child had a cut cuticle or nail bed from squirming while someone who may not have the most experience was cutting his nails?

        • As a new mom, I cop to having done this and I am happily leaving it up to my nanny to do it instead so less (or no) blood is drawn.

    • Perhaps if you had kept up on it she wouldn't have had to do it.

    • I would expect babysitter to ask if it was ok to do so first. Early on my nanny would ask, now she will just do if they are long as they grow so fast. It is understandable that you were a little upset.
