Do you know any "happy ending" stories - couples who have broken up and then gotten back together for the long haul? (I've clearly watched too many sappy movies this weekend!)

    • Friends were engaged. Called off huge wedding 1 month before the date. Broke up. Started talking 6 months later and did couples counseling. Got married. Now married 10 years have 2 kids and seem very happy.

    • I think this happens with a lot of couples. I have seen the senario many times. Madly in love, time to take the next step (marriage) and someone freaks out, breaks up. Then they end up getting married and live happily ever after. Very common.

    • yes--my best friend and her husband separated over his addiction and related behavior (with one dd). One divorce, and 3 years of therapy later, they got back together, remarried, had a second dd, and 10 years later, still very happy.
