  • Do you think a space of 8ft x 8.4 ft is a good size for a newborn? We need to build a room in our apt..and this is the sz we are thinking of. Any BTDT

    • I think it's completely fine for a newborn but will get claustrophobic fast. My dd is in a room that's about 10 x 12.6 and for now it's fine. But there's no real room for a desk or anything like work space as she gets older.

    • My son has a 7x7 room- it was the old dining room in our junior 4- it has a door, window and a heater so a real room. We fit a normal size crib and dresser with changing area and a hutch. Definitely get a crib with a drawer underneath, and also find a "combo" dresser- one that has a cabinet that you can hange clothes in. It works for us. You make do with what you have.
