I'm moving to a 1 bedroom with my dd, want to maximize space, is a twin bed too small for an adult or it has to be at least a full bed? (I'm searching for those that have storage drawers in it).

      • I'm 5 7, do you think is too small for me, I mean these beds are standard size for teenagers/singles right?

        • What about an extra-long twin? They must have those becasue they sell extra-long twin sheets for college students. Still, I would try to squeeze in at least a full bed, for snuggling with dd (and anyone else).

          • I'll take measuments, maybe an extra long twin will give me the space to have an extra drawer witch a full might not.

    • I would do a full bed- you deserve some luxury, no? how about a murphy or a loft style?

        • It's a wall cabinet by day and pulls down into a bed at night- you can sleep in your living room this way and give dd the bedroom when she gets older

    • at 5'8, i find twin bed too small. ikea has some great options for beds w storage, trundles, etc. murphy beds are really comfortable if you want to save space.

    • Full definitely. At your height, a twin would be a squeeze. And no snuggling with dd!

      • I realized lately I sleep in my current house alone in a queen bed and I take just a small space of it, so I'm wondering when I move to smaller apt if a twin might be ok, since I don't spread myself.
