Banked my first dc's cord blood. Donating this time around (due next month). Am I making a big mistake? Should I be privately banking for the second too?

      • OP: that's what we think and why we decided to donate this time around. Feeling guilty, though.

        • they actually advise just banking one, since siblings can usually share. don't feel guilty

    • can you wait to make sure new baby has same blood type? wouldn't that make it more likely they could share. If same blood type, donate, if not bank it. Also even if you donate, don't you still have to pay the astronomical fee? the only thing you save on is the annual storage.
