What do you think of moms who will not leave after the playdate. DS is 18 months he was having a playdate with another child. I told the mom that my son takes his nap and it took 30 minutes to get her sh*t together. All she had to do was put the childs coat and sneakers on. She also knows that my son naps at this time so its no surprise. I felt like I was kicking her out but then again I really do not care. If it was her kid she probably would have me flying out the door.

[ Reply | Options ]You sound very hostile toward her. Maybe playdates should not be part of your world.
[ Reply | Options ]Maybe I am hostile towards her bc she is very rude when things affect her schedule. I do playdates all the time but I think its really rude to stick around when it is very clear that my child is ready to go to bed. I think I am just the type of person who does things quickly. When I need to go and do something db is ready in 5 minutes. For her it takes 30 minutes to get a jacket and shoes on each time.

I am you. Hate when people overstay their welcome! Makes me nuts - impossible to get my dcs to go to bed when guests are not out the door. I am always accused of being rude though.

I like this post. I have also been the victim of a never-ending playdate. What do you think the appropriate amount of time for a playdate should be?
