Do you 'enjoy' spending time with your kids?
- Yes, most of the time we really have fun together
- Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's really dull and aggravating
- Honestly most of the time it's not fun at all, but it's not supposed to be fun
- I really don't enjoy it at all, and wish I could spend less time with them

We're coming to NYC for the last week in May to spend time with my in-laws. Can you gals give me some suggestions for a 2-3 day mid-week vacation? Just me, my DH, and 2.5-year old son. My DH is suggesting the Jersey shore, but I'm not so sure. TIA.

They come out west to visit us monthly, so I feel no need to maximize their time with my DS. That being said, I'm really tired of having to spend all of my vacation time with the in-laws, so I want a little mid-week break.

If NYC is your destination it seems strange to go to the Jersey Shore- or leave the city at all for that matter. There's so much to do here. Pick up a New Yorker mag.
