Do you 'enjoy' spending time with your kids?
- Yes, most of the time we really have fun together
- Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's really dull and aggravating
- Honestly most of the time it's not fun at all, but it's not supposed to be fun
- I really don't enjoy it at all, and wish I could spend less time with them

for those with 2 dc - did it take you longer to bond with your baby during your second pregnancy? i feel like i am so busy with #1 that i havent really thought about the baby growing inside of me too much. anyone else go through something similar? i am fairly early in the pregnancy so maybe that is why?
10 replies [ Reply | Watch | MoreHeck, I had trouble bonding when my 2nd dc was BORN--I was so worried about #1. But now's my youngest is 3 and my sweet, sweet baby. Don't worry!
[ Reply | More ]I'm expecting #3 and between my other DC and my job I barely have time to rememmber I am PG, never mind "bond". It was the same with #2 (worse, actually, because I had a 1 y/o and a much crazier job), and, IME, it didn't change at all the way I felt about him once he arrived. I think it's on balance much healthier not to be obsessed with the PG like I was with #1 - as long as you remember to go to the OB when you're supposed to and to buy a couple packages of diapers before you give birth, all should be well. :-)
[ Reply | More ]IME, there's good news & bad news. It did take me longer, both during preg and after birth. #2 was a much more difficult baby and I was somewhat resentful that she was so demanding that I lost a lot with #1. The good news is that after the first 9 months or so we bonded incredibly and we have an amazing relationship to this day and she's a pre-teen.
