    • I agree. Probably because I just turned 40. Feel like a kid masquerading as an adult most of the time (don't know how *I* got to be 40!!)

        • I'm in my 20s. Trust me, you 40-somethings *aren't* anywhere near 20, in body, mind, OR spirit. You're 40. Stop kidding yourselves.

          • it's not like that. i know i can't go to certain clubs and do the things i did when i was in my 20s. frankly, i don't want to be 20 again. it's just that i have a state of mind of being older, more experienced, etc. - whatever - and i feel young at heart

            • Well good for you. But 40 is still not the "new 20". There's nothing new under the sun. 20 has always been 20, and 40 will never be 20.

          • OK. As long as you admit you're a bitch of colossal proportions (to do otherwise would be kidding yourself).

    • I tell my husband this all the time, to make him feel better. LOL. Of course he's not 20 anymore and if he looked back, he would never want to be 20 again. LOL. He may not have the body of a 20 year old. But he's a foot smarter than any 20 year old and his youthful spirit is something he'll take into his 80s.

    • Sadly this in not true. I still feel young and do things in my 40's that my mother would never have done, all I have to do is look at a photo from my college days to snap back to reality. I don't think it is a bad thing to feel young and to pursue interests that may be considered young, but I do think that there are way too many women in their 40's who are delusional about how they are perceived by others - esp. younger men.
