    • I hate when someone holds a door for you, you say thankyou very much, and they go "Uh-huh". They should say you are welcome. very petty peeve I know.

      • Don't get me started on the door thing. I am slowly and begrudgingly learning to accept the fact that most adults do not hold the door for anyone, under any circumstances. Despite my acceptance of this fact, I will continue to hold doors for everyone, and in the rare case of a thank you, I will continue to say you're welcome with a smile. I will not give in!!

        • The door thing KILLS me. My biggest pet peeve is when I hold the door for someone and then a whole slew of people continue through and no one takes the door from me & I end up either having to let it go in someones face or standing there for a ridiculous amount of time.

        • Is it true that everyone is politer in the South? Maybe they do it in the schools?!

          • I'm from the south. People are generally more polite but it has more to do with upbringing... it's a respect thing. They teach nothing in the public schools at least where I'm from.

    • it's pretty common protocol on bb's like this. it means, "if i step away and you answer and you think i'm just being rude because i don't thank you, i don't mean to be." some people get all riled when they supply info. and no one responds.
