  • One very annoying preschool put us on a waitlist for an application (yes, really). I guess we called two minutes too late on the day after labor day. Never got an application but they still have our check. Can I ask for it back?

    • Why or how do they have your check if you never submitted an application? Checks are typically sent in with the apps.

    • sorry, they had us submit a waitlist application, whatever that is. said they would consider it if and when space became available for child dc's exact age (friends with kids a few mos younger/older got real applications)

    • applied for k at a priate on line and paid fee on line. i never received a confirmation in the mail and it turned out that they more apps than interview spots. it took a couple of months but in that case my app fee was returned. Bank Street

    • CGPS put us on a WL for an interview spot that never came through. they didn't cash he check but never returned it either.
