  • Nest moms: anyone worried the school culture is just too rigid for little kids. Not exactly a warm, friendly staff or school environment. Are the kids getting too much pressure to preform?

    • They are graded pretty hard. The staff is actually pretty warm and friendly despite this. The kids get a lot of the pressure from the parents. A lot of nest parents cant tell you enough about how smart their kid is. It trickles down to the kids. The curriculum is incredibly ambitious.

    • There are plenty of Nest parents out there that are low key too. Everyone always notices the crazies. Parents who still believe that weekends and summer time are meant for fun and not prepping and more academics.

    • FWIW, my dc attended another school before going to Nest and during the tour the administration rolled out the red carpet and was over the top friendly. Once we started going there I figured out it was all smoke and mirrors. At least the Nest administration is upfront and in my experience i found them to be very pleasant and accomodating.
