        • Ah. Ok, well I think they are both good schools. I liked the vibe at Trevor a little more. Will they let you re-tour before deciding?

          • also, just one of many differences: Trevor starts foreign language early and CGPS not until 7th grade, which seemed very late to us

              • on the flip side, CGPS teaches swimming while Trevor does not. there are differences, perhaps minor ones, but they are there.

            • they offer a curriculum not much different from the public gen eds. You are better off looking at a cheaper private if you are hell bent on private

          • np: to each her own. we really liked both schools and vastly preferred them to our public options. there are very happy, engaged kids at both schools from what we saw as well as according to friends with dcs at each. OP, don't listen to the nasties, go with your gut.

      • I completely disagree and fwiw, I prefer Trevor. The families at Trevor are lovely--warm, accomplished, smart with a quiet intellectual bent and unpretentious. If you can, get a copy of the Board of Trutess profile -- you will be very impressed. We are zoned for PS 6 - there are 29 children in a class--compared to Trevor - 14-15 in a class-far more indiv attn. There are far fewer differences among privates, esp in the lower grades, than between any one private and public. And don't listen to UP hype about tiers and ranking. It's based on college admissions. Caliber of entering classes much different than graduating classes. Every single private sends students to HYP and other tt colleges.

              • It is the printed materials we got when we applied. But call school or email school to see if they will send materials if you are interested.
