  • When do kids have to start paying on the subway (nyc)? And why can't I find that info on their website?

    • aroun the age of 5yr..it's a height thing rather than an age thing. It's supposed to be when the dc is 44in

        • I just use the rule of thumb that when in school full time (like K and need a bus pass) they need to pay.

        • my cue was if dd could easily duck under the turnstile, it was okay. on buses, there is actually a line on the left hand pole as you enter the bus
