  • What do you think about other moms approaching your sitter to work for them? My sitter works for me part time when I work. The moms are SAHMs. I have one optional day with my sitter a week. I had a work emergency and called her the night before. She was booked, with one of these moms, who wanted prepare for a party that night, and then sitter said she felt bad but both the moms had asked her not to tell me. I had wondered why my optional day was all of a sudden gone. This seems really strange to me.

    • Never brag about your husband or your sitter.

    • this would make me crazy, honestly. these women are not your friends because they want to keep secrets from you. your sitter is honest and that's great. i would tell your sitter that you want first dibs on your optional day, and if a work emergency comes up and she's booked, then she should call the non-emergency and ask if it's okay to work for you instead. i have released a sitter because she needed to tend to a family that had an emergency.

    • Very selfish of you. You don't pay sitter on optional day and expect her not to supplement?

      • No kidding. I hope you're paying a lot (like almost 100% of her rate for those hours) for that "option"
