trying to make a decision between heschel and ethical. please help! we were called on friday from ec. so the wl does move!

  - Parent at Heschel for several years. Heschel has great kids, families, lovely, down to earth community. I would say when you go to a school like Heschel you give up some of the academics and some of the extras like a great art or music program. You do gain a wonderful, loving community-- I can't speak to any other school however. We are paying a fortune and I have to say, the academic aspect has been disappointing

- we can't answer this for you. we can help you once you start giving some thought to what you want out of a school. are you looking for a jewish education? are you looking for a "top name" school? are you looking for top academics? are you looking for a good commute? are you looking for a parent body that is similar to you? start thinking about what you want and what you think your kid needs. then decide which school better fits those parameters. if you want to post your parameters, we can try to help you make a decision.

- It might be helpful to decide what your top priority is for dc. If academics, base the decision on that (ECFS would come out on top, IMO). If Jewish education, Heschel.
