overheard 6 yo dd talking to her 4 yo brother and using the phrases "open the box" and "untie the knot" in conversation - i asked her what she was talking about and she pointed to her vagina and said "my v." what would you do? i (gently) asked her where she heard that language and she said "i just know it." dr thinks it sounds like something she would have overheard from another child. she doesn't seem traumatized. anyone btdt? wwyd? tia.

I would then sit her down and have a talk about where she learned this phrase. Make her understand that she isn't in any trouble but you would like to know since you know she didn't make it up
