Will find out if DS gets into Hunter K in a couple of weeks. If not, will wait to see if he gets into a good city-wide or D3 G&T. If not, we were planning on moving somewhere with a good gen ed school (the village) in the summer. Will it be too late to register?

- too late to get into ps41 for sure. btw, you won't know about g&t placement until june. so you won't have a huge window to be moved in, have utility bill, etc. before first day of school.

        no, they'll just have to set up classes in the cafeteria or something. they can't just arbitrarily send dcs to another school, especially that one. there would be uproar, and rightly so. maybe down the road, after it's been argued to death. but not this year.

        i actually don't think it will be as bad as everyone says. we have dc in k at one of those schools and class size is down to 20 (from 23) because of families moving out of the city.
