  • my 3 1/2 year old brakes out in a rash (small red bumps) couple of times a week. The allergist did all kinds of test and said it was nothing. The ped said its nothing, she will grow out of it. i just feel like i should do something, it must be something, right?

    • Kids skin is so sensitive that really, it may be nothing. If you saw both a ped and a derm/allergist, you seem like you're on top of it. Could it be dry skin and irritation from bathing? Does it happen certain times of the year? How long has it been going on? Do you use a mild detergent and double rinse her (his?) clothing? Can you see any other links?

      • didnt see a derm, just an allergist. She always had this, its only on her face, so i dont thin its the detergent.

    • My 3yr old also has this, on occasion. Doesn't seem to bother him (rarely itches) and usually goes away as mysteriously as it appeared.

        • I think the amt of "stuff" in a topical ointment is so low that it's not worth worrying about, esp if it gives her relief from any discomfort or itching. She may just have super sensitive skin!

    • Do you mean "breaks out" in a rash? I doubt your car brakes have anything to do with it.
