    • Where is it? My daughter had one on her stomach. We didn't do anything. She's now almost 17 months and it has almost completely disappeared. A friend's daughter had one on her nose. They had pretty aggressive laser therapy. It was about every month to six weeks for six months or so. She just turned one and it is almost completely gone.

            • She's in Virginia. Found doctors in DC. She's really happy she did it. I'm not sure she would have done the lasering if it were not in such a prominent place (nose). She was told that because of the depth of the hemangioma, it might become one of those bulbous ones that may eventually need surgery. Surgery can cause permanent disfiguring. For us, with the stomach, we just let it be. Ear is a close call. BUT, I will say that my friend is really happy they did it and the baby always seemed fine with the treatment.
