- No, but 6 yr old dd knows what a period is and has seen the "products" in the bathroom and knows how they're used.

- my 5yo boys sees it all the time because sometimes I have no choice but to take him into the stall with me. Poor kid!

  - Have him stand outside the door so you can see his feet. Kid's getting too old to be in ladies room anyway--let alone to watch mommy change her tampon.

- Yes, I have. Both my DCs. I have them turn around, but they still peak. I don't see having a period as gross or dirty but it is private. But sometimes, on the go, public bathroom, you gotta do what you gotta do. My DCs, pretty much grown now, weren't scarred for life, and are actually really comfortable around women and their umm "feminine issues". I was raised thinking a period was something dirty and unnatrual and no little girl or boy should ever be made to feel that way about "natural" part of life.

  - And you're DC will tell when they are ready to use a public bathroom by themselves or wait outside a stall or bathroom for you. This world is full of sickos and a child can be snatched and gone forever in a matter of seconds. So I can understand why you want your DC in the bathroom with you.
