we moved this weekend. i think i can count on one hand the number of times i've been this overwhelmed.

  - we proudly unpacked our very last box four years after we moved in. Nothing wrong with having full moving boxes stored away somewhere.

  - it was a local move. which i think made it harder in some ways. we weren't fully packed up when the movers came. we still have stuff in our old apartment.

    - we did that once, or I should say dh did. we were moving from one apt to another in the same bldg. we were moving for days, because he didn't think he needed to pack stuff

      - i didn't think we'd be ready but i didn't realize how hard it would be to go back and finish packing while also trying to manage the unpacking. while also having kids who need supervision.

  - no. we were in brooklyn and moved just a few blocks away. it shouldn't be traumatic at all. i'm a bit of a perfectionist and i feel like i failed this challenge. and then once i get past that stupidity, i'm still overwhelmed with the unpacking and organizing.
