Currently 170 lbs. If I change my diet and start eating mostly raw/healthy foods, exercise level stays the same, how long will it take me to lose 45 lbs?

    • you need to burn 3500 calories more than you take in to lose 1 lb. if you eat 350 calories less per day, you will lose 1 lb every ten days. if you do this and burn 350 calories more in exercise per day, you will lose 1 lb in 5 days., etc, etc.

    • Without exercise it will be slow. Can you take a 30 minute walk everyday?

        • OP: Exactly. I can't do any more than what I am doing (which is some each day).

          • Drink lots of water, eat small portions, eat low fat and low carb. You may lose slowly, but you will lose consistantly.

    • here's another pointer: do not sit still for more than 20 minutes at a time (unless you are in church, meeting, class, or dining out). get up every 20 minutes and walk around for 5-10 minutes, or even do jumping jacks/marching to get your body moving more.
