  • Really need weight loss advice. DD #2 is 7mo, and I still weigh 150lbs (down from 162, on her delivery day) but despite working out 4x a wk., i cannot lose the weight. I am still bf-ing, and am really tired-I've had thyroid checked, normal. So frustrating.

    • Reduce your carb intake, which is probably too high anyway. Nothing extreme, but each one slice of toast instead of two, etc. That's been helping me. How do you manage to find time yo go to gym 4x week? So lucky!

      • Listen- Nothing worked for me about losing weight until I stopped nursing and had three full period cycles. I nursed both kids a year, and both times thought I would be fatter forever. Then stopped nursing, had three periods and it seemed like overnight I shed 15 lbs. SO don't despair, enjoy the softness while you cuddle that baby, and then stop when ready. some bodies are different.

    • It took me a long time, and I still haven't lost it all. You are older too, and I have noticed that my metabolism really slowed down a lot. Now at age 39, it feels like it takes a heroic effort to lose weight.

    • you may lose weight when you stop bf. I lost a bit more weight once I stopped around 8 mos. by 10 mos, I was back to pre-pg weight. I felt like it was slow going for a long time.
