So Joe Volger, the head of the Alaska Independence Party, to which Todd Palin belonged to for 7 years and to whom Sarah Palin told "keep up the good work" last year said "My government is my worst enemy. I'm going to fight them with any means at hand". And Sarah Palin says Obama pals around w/ terrorists? Last I check, aims at secession weren't exactly treason, they are hardly patriotic. Joe Volger, however is a domestic terrorist.

[ Reply | Options ]you are scarily ignorant. this sentiment about government being the problem, not the solution to any problem is one of the main tenets of the conservative movement. i wholeheartedly agree with the statement and everybody i know who is voting republican do as well.
[ Reply | Options ]Am I really? He went on to say :When the [federal] bureaucrats come after me, I suggest they wear red coats. They make better targets. In the federal government are the biggest liars in the United States, and I hate them with a passion. They think they own [Alaska]. There comes a time when people will choose to die with honor rather than live with dishonor. That time may be coming here. Our goal is ultimate independence by peaceful means under a minimal government fully responsive to the people. I hope we don't have to take human life, but if they go on tramping on our property rights, look out, we're ready to die."
[ Reply | Options ]Many ppl who consider themselves "conservative" are voting Obama this time around -- e.g. former National Review publisher -- not sure being "conservative" and voting for McCain go together anymore.... curious to hear your thoughts! http://www.dmagazine.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?nm=Core+Pages&type=gen&mod=Core+Pages&tier=3&gid=B33A5C6E2CF04C9596A3EF81822D9F8E
[ Reply | Options ]the government is not the problem! The conservative attitude about government is: who will take care of the sick, poor, disabled, disadvantaged? The private sector will do everything for profit, but if you can't make profit, who will take over? Who will build new schools, streets, hospitals, housing for the just mentioned disadvantaged? The state is also necessary to defend us! How will pay for the military unless we the people do it with our taxes that we give to the government?

do you disagree? do you like how the govt is handling anything? i sure don't. oh and since the bailout, the dow is down over 1000 pts. not working out too well, is it?

please explain the bailout and wall street because as far as I can see the bailout was for goldman sachs and morgan stanley.
[ Reply | Options ]the bailout was designed to free up the credit markets, which affects everyone -- small business owners, individuals who need HELOCs, mortgages, or any other type of loan, and large corps alike. btw, MS is in deep trouble -- the bailout was not targeted specifically to help wall st firms.

When I ride in a taxi cab with my DC I:
- Use a carseat
- Buckle him/her in his/her own seat
- Hold him/her on my lap
- I'd never ride in a taxi with my DC, it's much too dangerous!
