Going to the Jersey Shore, very far south. If the weather isn't beachy, what is there to do with kids?

np - I'm in Stone Harbor right now! This area is the best. Rainy day activities also include the Wetlands Inst., the boardwalk in Wildwood (kind of cheesy but cute for one time), lots of put put in town, there is a great skate park/tennis court facility on 81st that also offers crafts and activities on rainy days...have fun!
[ Reply | Options ]Sorry, just checking back after a few days. Avalon is great for kids in general. Boardwalk is really small but has pizza place, ice cream, skeeball, swings, etc. starts at 21st street or so and goes up about 10 blocks. Great breakfast place at end on 32nd street or so. Dune drive has all kinds of fun things to do .. miniature golf, soft serve (avalon freeze is the best). Tennis courts and playground on 9th street is wonderful. makes me miss it so much (I live in California now..near Malibu and I still miss Avalon! Go figure)
